Lies of P: Arm Harpoon

A wrist-mounted steampunk harpoon from Lies of P: a wearable cosplay prop, printed and painted, built to a client's references.

Lies of P
Video-game

A wrist-mounted steampunk harpoon from Lies of P, made as a commission for a cosplay outfit. It is a static wearable: it completes the look, it does not fire anything.

Printed and painted throughout, with the silver arm-cuff carrying most of the ornamentation. It started from a client's reference pictures and grew its final details from there.

Commission pieces follow the same route: you send references, the build matches them.

Development

This... weapon? Device? Construct? ...was requested by a client who wished to emulate a steampunk-style wrist-mounted harpoon from the game 'Lies of P'. They provided a couple of reference pictures, and off I went!

Most of the work went into matching the detailing. The steampunk styling on the original is dense, and the client had reference pictures to hold it against.

The one major redesign came late: extra decorative effects on the silver arm-cuff, suggested by the client. It genuinely completes the look, but it means some of the photos below predate it.

Overall, a fun project, and in my opinion a great end result!
