Trigun – Vash’s Pistol

The AGL Arms Long Colt, the favoured pistol of Vash the Stampede from the anime series Trigun!
Development
This will be another short update, because I only have a couple of photos of the finished project. I was only tasked with designing the 3D models for this one, the client was then going to print and assemble the end result himself.
I loved this anime though, and so this was a project I was extremely happy to be involved with. There were quite a few challenges, including the intricate nature of the internal workings of the pistol. That's right, moving parts!
The hammer would pull back, the trigger would fire, the chambers would spin. The entire barrel even folded down so that you could load real-scale ammunition into the chambers. This design was an effort, but from the response I got from the client, it was a tremendous success!
At some point I'll find the time to build one of these for myself, and post a bunch more images here.
