Development
A pair of signature weapons for the ‘Hololive’ V-Tuber character Ouro Kronii, designed to appear like the hour/minute hands of an elaborate clock.
A highly detailed pair of models, an incredibly unique design, though there were some concerns in the initial design stages that they may be fragile due to their intricate nature. I therefore had to work from the beginning to ensure that the design was as sturdy as possible.
The ‘blade’ sections were especially problematic, as the shapes – particularly with the open/hollow internal sections – were not conducive to being 3D printed on standard FDM print platforms. A lot of overhangs and tall/thin columns, which would have resulting in messy undersides and weak structural integrity.
However, in the end I believe I managed to strike a good balance between looks, sturdiness, and keeping to the aesthetics of the original design.
